... why???

So I think my last post didn't actually get posted and now more fun with the car shopping stuff.

SHOULD get my car tonight, but this is the 5th day they've promised it and ended up picking up the WRONG CAR yesterday so they've got to go back and get the right one.

All kinds of dumb stuff with Bry @ work... sometimes I wonder. So he got a new job and if they close stores, he may get bumped because there might be someone with more seniority at the stores that are closing...

Whatever... too much to think about - enough to give someone a nervous breakdown if they weren't as stubborn as me.

Heads are going to roll

Either Empire or First Hyundai are lying to me and whichever one it is, there will be heads rolling at that dealership tomorrow afternoon.

Supposedly have an 07 Tucson GLS with 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission, front wheel drive, with the premium option package in Nautical Blue with Grey interior waiting for me at Empire Hyundai. (Being transferred in from another dealership.)

First Hyundai told me that the VIN number on the agreement is the VIN number for a standard transmission. And that they checked their dealership network and there's NO Tucson GLS with the options I want in Nautical Blue/Grey in the USA.

Someone's lying and there WILL be hell to pay. I'm hoping it's First that's lying because it would make sense that their "We'll beat the price or give you the car for free" policy would take effect and rather than taking a loss on the car, they want to make you believe you're getting screwed by the other dealer, and buy from them on the spot. The idiot at First Hyundai was SHOCKED when we said that we weren't buying from him today regardless of price & that I wanted to clear things up with Empire before I did anything. I would LOVE to screw First Hyundai over. I think I would actually contact Hyundai USA and report them for screwing me over. See if they revoke their dealership license before they get off the ground.

Since I hadn't eaten since lunch, it was fun as my blood sugar plunged and I'm getting sweaty, light headed and feeling sick to my stomach the more I think about the possibility of getting screwed... I'm sure Channels 6, 10 & 12 would also love to hear this story.... along with the Better Business Bureau.

Will try to update this tomorrow to keep anyone who is interested up to date with the latest and greatest.

Crazy week off, but productive

Got TONS of stuff done last week on my week off. Will try to post pictures tonight/tomorrow. Lots of house improvements & I'm looking forward to finishing off a few odds and ends that didn't get wrapped up before back to work time. :) More to come...

Thursday

Ah... Thursday. One more day of work after today before my week off. Oh, is that going to be a wonderful week! Some painting, installing some floors, some gardening if it doesn't rain. Caulking windows, installing a light and fan... ahhhhh this will be nice. And some time to go to Mystic.

I am ready to party now!

Knew something felt wrong...

I guess I misdirected the apprehension of something going wrong earlier today...

My review went fine - without a hitch, but I just got a call from the store manager at Williams-Sonoma. I was supposed to do a truffle class on the 30th of June. Not so much anymore. Because of liability issues, they're required to pay any guest chef. Because of monetary issues, they don't want to pay guest chefs at this point. The second is fine by me, but that sticks me in a Catch 22.

So if anyone's interested in truffle or other cooking classes, it looks like they'll be at chez moi for the near future.

FYI

You can't use an ampersand sign in the 'labels for this post' section of blogger... must do a funky thing to the system! I LOVE IT!

UPDATE

Julianne danced to the song Lost in this Moment with one of the other professional dancers on a Tuesday results show of Dancing with the Stars when Big & Rich were performing live.

and pictures do not exist of Will Turner at the end of World's End. I'm thinking that all the movie shots of him at this point show a physical attribute that might give away part of the plot of the movie. All I want to know is if he's wearing significant amounts of eyeliner at that point. Is that so much to ask? I have a theory going that they all look better with significant amounts of eyeliner & that's why Captain Jack Sparrow is really my favorite. But then at the end where I said Will Turner looks better than in any other part of the pirate trilogy, I think he might have significant eye makeup on where he doesn't seem to ever wear any at any other point in the three movies.

Okay - done being obsessive and random now.

Wednesday & relief

Okay - so you know how sometimes you don't realize that you're terrified of something until it's over? Well that was definitely me in my review today. I didn't realize until after the review was over that I was so nervous. I walked out with my heart rate still stabilizing and not knowing why... So I started thinking about it and I think it was that I had such bad experiences with reviews at Horner.

The last thing you expect after a review is to get called into the VP's office and be told that you're being let go in two months because you didn't appreciate the fact that the President had you crawling under his desk installing his new Treo while he sat at the work table in his office reading and watching...

So I was terrified. But it was a good review and they're not letting me go. Actually even though the higher-ups didn't go for the 10% then and 10% now (turned into 10% and then 5% on the initial amount) they are looking to have me expand my job responsibilities and take on a part time Project Manager position. I think I'd be able to juggle 90% of it. The biggest help would be if everyone would come into the year 2007 and let me email all reports as pdf's. That eliminates the walking through the building, waiting for the copier, hand distributing reports, etc. And any side conversations that are started as a result of the walking through the halls. I can see it now. I should get a couple gallon-jugs of water in my office and with my little hot pot I'd be able to brew tea as I go. No walking to the lunch room every time I finish a cup.

Actually, if I was REALLY smart, I'd keep an eye out for another $3.00 coffee pot like the one I keep at home and brew a pot of loose tea every morning. It would stay hot as long as it has an on/off switch that I can control and I'd be GOOD AS GOLD! I think that's my preferred method. Just fill the gallon jugs once a week and I'm golden!

And I think that would streamline things enough that I can do the coordinator/analyst stuff AND the project management stuff. And everyone will be happy and the peasants rejoice! BRILLIANT!!! (and I don't drink Guinness)
:o)
